

Which just pulls me right into the world to experience it right along with them. I very easily pictured everything, and it was all from the perspective of the characters, as opposed to a generic description. I can't read most paranormal books, for example, because I can't suspend my disbelief long enough. That's hard for me, because I'm very reality oriented.

The author created a world and made me believe it. What I love about this book was the way it all popped. They make me branch out and think twice before I pass something up. It's books like these that have me looking differently at the books I choose to read. And I say that, because from the first page I was sucked in. I have to admit this was a different sort of book for me. She's a big Star Trek TNG fan, as well as Star Wars and Serenity. When she's not writing, Aubrie teaches flute and plays in orchestras. But, her all time favorite movie was The Last Unicorn. She also loved The Goonies, Star Trek the Next Generation-favorite character was Data by far-, and Indiana Jones. Aubrie grew up watching the original Star Wars movies over and over again until she could recite and reenact every single scene in her backyard.
